AUUDI hosted the first-ever Lunar New Year Float Parade and Asian Food Culture Festival

AUUDI Community Coalition hosted the first-ever Lunar New Year Float Parade and Asian Food Culture Festival on Saturday, March 18, 2023, in Long Island, New York. The celebration featured the rich culture and heritage of Asian Americans. Supervisor of the Town of Oyster Bay, Joseph Saladino, stated, “This Lunar Celebration helps build a greater understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and the traditions of Asian heritage. As a community, celebrations such as this allow us to share stories of our ancestors and connect to gain a greater appreciation of diverse and shared values while building a stronger and more vibrant community.”

2023 is the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit, which symbolizes longevity, positivity, wittiness, skill, cautiousness, cleverness, and self-protection.

AUUDI hosted Asian Women's Summit, Long Island, NY

Yue-Sai Kan is an Emmy-winning Television Host and Producer, successful entrepreneur, fashion Icon, bestselling author, and humanitarian, “Yue-Sai Day” in Hawaii is established on October 6 every year. Yue-Sai received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor as an outstanding Chinese American immigrant, the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Award at the United Nations, and the Ban Ki-moon Award from Asia Initiatives. May 18, 2023, Yue-Sai, with other outstanding Asian American women, talked about careers, life, obstacles, difficulties, development, and advancement for Asian American Women. Annie Teng, the founder of AUUDI, said:” Asian Women Summit is to encourage Asian Women's advancement in American society and promote diversity & inclusiveness in the workplace. We will continue to make the summit available to women of color, primarily Asian American women, for encouragement and advancement”.

AUUDI joined AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage) Parade in Manhattan

On May 21, 2023, as a co-organizer and joint community partner, AUUDI participated in the AAPI Cultural Heritage parade traveling through Midtown from 44th Street and going up 6th Avenue to 55th Street. AUUDI founder Annie Teng said:” As an Asian American, first-generation immigrant, working and living in New York for 30 years, I am very proud of being part of America and rich culture, arts, and heritage from Asian communities. AUUDI, as a non-profit organization, is happy to be part of this parade. We will continue to promote the culture of diversity and inclusion through various events”.

AUUDI co-hosted The Second Asian Dragon Boat Gourmet and Cultural Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival is an ancient Chinese tradition of over 2,000 years. It falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year. Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival is also a way for people to pray for agricultural harvest, good weather, peace, prosperity for the country and the people, as well as to express people's good wishes. On 6/17/2023, AUUDI co-hosted the events, and AUUDI's unique cultural stand attracted thousands of people from the communities to enjoy the delicious food and happy moments”.
